Write a comprehensive narrative overview of your most relevant (academic) qualities, competences and/or vision related to your field of research, your position in the (inter)national scientific world, the potential societal impact of your work and/or your research idea. Describe why what you mention shows qualities out of the ordinary, why they are important to science, patients and society, and how they align with your research idea.
Focus on qualities and competences other than the output described under 3 "Key output".
The Dutch Arthritis Society is a funding organisation but also a patient organisation. This obliges you to provide information about your experiences with and/or vision on working with experts with the disease and how you did / would like to involve them in your research and/or implementation activities.
Examples of topics you may address are listed below. For readability, we suggest you use headers. For any (academic) quality and/or competence and/or vision, please provide relevant context to your research idea.
- Motivation for doing long term (applied) research and regarding your research idea in particular;
- Alignment of the profile with the research idea, or vision of how this alignment will be achieved;
- Theoretical and/or methodological and/or practice-based contributions;
- Interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary and/or international collaboration activities, roles in teams, and networking capabilities;
- Working with experts with the disease and how they will be involved in your research project and research line;
- Conference participation and organisation;
- Educational activities, e.g. the connection of research, education and implementation;
- Mentorship or supervision of students related to (academic and/or applied) research;
- Research results and their position relative to societal topics;
- Knowledge utilisation, dissemination and popularisation;
- Membership of scientific boards, editorial boards, and committees;
- Administrative and managerial tasks.
